SPECIALTY Professional Services has been in the temporary healthcare staffing business since March 1993.

SPECIALTY has always been amongst the highest paying agencies in the industry. Most times, our RNs earn anywhere from $1-3 per hour higher than most other locally based healthcare staffing agencies. Please note that pay rates depend on geographic location, specific client contracts, and healthcare professional skill level. Please call for more information.

When you work for SPECIALTY, we will withhold all applicable federal, state and local taxes; you are NOT treated as an independent contractor. At the end of the year, you will receive a W-2 from ADP our payroll company here at SPECIALTY in the mail.

Of course! Call our coordinators and we will walk you through the steps. It’s easy and so many nurses do it. Remember, it is your choice to pick which employer you want to worth through and which company best suites your needs. SPECIALTY will NEVER make anyone sign employment agreements or block our healthcare staff from switching agencies. You are a free agent!

Absolutely! We are available 24/7/365. Someone from our office is ALWAYS on call. We will always have a real live person to answer your calls.

We offer both per diem and travel assignments for every nursing modality. We contract with clients throughout the United States.

Primarily, yes. However, we do have some staffing assignments outside of acute care hospitals, i.e. school nursing. Please call our office for more details.

YES! It all depends on your skill level and sub-specialty. Many times, our acute care hospitals request contract assignments which last anywhere from 4 to 13 weeks. Often these assignments are extended to 26 weeks. Our nurses simply work as much or as little as they desire.

Yes, absolutely! At SPECIALTY, we have something for everyone. We offer both per diem assignments as well as travel and local contract assignments of varying lengths.

There are a few different options to make it convenient to your schedule and liking:

  1. Browse our job board and apply to any current opening.
  2. Quick Apply for those who don’t have much time. This will inform one of our recruiters who you can reach out to you in our office to go over what Jobs we have that might be a perfect fit for you.

Most acute care hospitals require orientations. Some hospitals require more extensive orientations than others; however, most hospitals require a Policy and Procedure Manual that must be read prior to your first shift. A clinical preceptorship is also often required. All orientations are “paid” at orientation rates.
